There are two ways of doing business with Biblioso as a customer: as an individual person or as a corporate entity. Individuals typically have fewer projects than companies do, but the number of projects is not necessarily the ultimate criteria. For example, a corporate account may decide to run only a few projects through Biblioso. Our customer account types are not associated with volume programs. The frequently asked questions in this section specifically discuss topics concerning individual customers. For more information about corporate accounts, see the section FAQs for Corporate Customers.
For Individual Customers:
- Is an individual customer account the right choice for me?
- How can I create an individual account at Biblioso?
- What paperwork do I need to sign to fully activate my individual customer account?
- What do I get from Biblioso as an individual customer?
- How do I communicate with Biblioso?
- How do I create projects at Biblioso?
When deciding whether an individual customer account is right for you, consider if you personally control all the projects serviced with Biblioso. If this is the case, and if you have no in-house resources that you might want to use, then choose an individual customer account. Individual customer accounts enjoy full access to the Biblioso Portal. However, the Biblioso Directory is disabled. The individual customer account is the best choice when:

Creating an individual account at Biblioso begins with an account registration on the Biblioso Portal. The Biblioso Portal serves as an entry into our business world. Initially, your account only has access to a subset of features until we have a chance to discuss your specific requirements as well as the terms and conditions for using the Biblioso Portal. If you agree, we will fully activate your account, so that you can access all features of the Biblioso Portal available to individual customers. At any point in time, you have access to status reports that are accurate to the very second, and you have access to all files at any stage in the project. The steps to create an individual user account at Biblioso are:

Biblioso customers must agree to our terms and conditions and must sign an NDA agreement to ensure that no hostile actions are conducted against Biblioso and its service contributors, customers, and other visitors and users of the Biblioso Portal, including pouching of resources, launching attacks against our Web site, or reverse engineering the features of the Biblioso Portal.
As an individual customer, you can choose from all of Biblioso’s services and service packages to best match your specific project and budget requirements. Biblioso provides volume discounts starting at 1,000 pages per year. Documentation professionals work on your projects according to your specifications and project needs.
With the exception of the Biblioso Directory, all of the project and document management features of the Biblioso Portal are available to individual customers. You can participate in Biblioso projects as the project sponsor. The project sponsor has the ultimate authority over all formatting and style conventions and other content-related issues. As an individual customer, you can also assume the role of an individual contributor in your own projects.
Customers communicate with Biblioso through phone, e-mail, and various discussion forums provided throughout the Biblioso Portal. We prefer discussion forums to e-mail and e-mail over telephone, if possible.
As part of our quality management processes, you have access to an account manager. The account manager is your personal Biblioso contact to discuss administrative issues. You also will be assigned a preferred project manager to manage your projects. The project manager is the primary contact for all project-related issues. You also have access to our technical support group through the Support box in the protected area of the Biblioso Portal and through e-mail to discuss technical issues and ask questions. If you have any issues that your account manager, your project manager, and the technical support group are unable to handle, you can directly contact Biblioso management through e-mail. Click on Contact Us for contact information.
To create projects on the Biblioso Portal click the Create Project link in the Current Project box. When you click on this link, the Create a New Project page opens, where you can enter a project name and additional information for the project. Following the project creation, a project manager contacts you to obtain additional information, such as work specifics, deadlines, support material, and other details.
