Job Description

*Please note that we're not expecting our candidates to meet all of the criteria. Many of these skills are trainable. Our ideal profile would include Engineer-level experience, datacenter hardware testing environments, and infrastructure hardware troubleshooting.


This person will be responsible for orchestrating and optimizing day to day operations in the lab. These responsibilities will cover a wide range of warehouse, lab, and datacenter activities. The following is a list of the current responsibilities of the lab. This is a 100% onsite role.

  • Designing and building custom tools and equipment.
  • Optimizing operations and equipment.
  • Documenting processes and procedures to train additional personnel.
  • Able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair lab equipment.
  • Installing, running, and maintaining immersion cooling equipment.
  • Installing and removing server equipment in our immersion tanks
  • Using lifting cranes to remove and replace 200+ lb. servers.
  • Safe chemical handling for filling and draining tanks.
  • Running test cases, gathering data and publishing reports.
  • AC electrical Single Phase, 3 Phase and DC electrical experience.
  • Maintaining spares inventory and supplies, to keep the lab operational.
  • Maintaining air cooled server room in an operational condition
  • Setting up and running and collecting data from reliability experiments
  • Respirators are worn when working with our cooling fluids, 3M Novec 649

Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant technical infrastructure experience, Engineering background
  • Experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly of mechanical devices
  • Experience in assembly and disassembly of electronic assemblies
  • Experience in data center operations
  • Experience in data center rack hardware
  • Experience in cabling and networking of computer and server hardware
  • Experience in lab, data center and warehouse safety procedures
  • Experience in printed circuit board assemblies, manufacturing, and rework processes
  • Ability to collect data and publish reports.
  • CAD mechanical design experience, solid works and ProE
  • Single phase, 3phase AC power experience
  • DC power experience
  • Comfortable running machine shop tools, Lathe, Mill, CNC router, chop saw etc.

Education (or substitutable experience)

  • Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Mfg. Engineer
