Objective

No LMS Strategy & Learning Ecosystem Transformation

Role Purpose: This role is responsible for executive level advisory support to define, justify, and communicate a No LMS strategy for the enterprise learning ecosystem. The consultant’s primary output is a C suite ready executive recommendation and roadmap that enables leadership to make a confident, evidence based decision to move away from a traditional LMS model.

The role is outcome driven, focused on strategy, decision framing, and executive storytelling, not system implementation or LMS administration.

Primary Accountability

Deliver a clear executive recommendation and phased roadmap to achieve a No LMS future state, supported by business, risk, and compliance analysis, and presented in a concise, compelling executive deck.

Core Responsibilities

Executive Advisory & Decision Framing

Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on the future of learning technology

Frame the No LMS decision in terms of:

Business value and workforce outcomes

Risk, compliance, and governance

Cost, scalability, and operational impact

Translate complex learning and technology considerations into clear executive choices and tradeoffs

No LMS Recommendation Development

Define a No LMS vision aligned to:

AI first, in flow learning

Skill based and outcome driven development

Enterprise compliance and audit requirements

Identify:

LMS capabilities that must be retained temporarily (e.g., compliance)

Capabilities that can be decomposed and replaced

Capabilities that should be eliminated entirely

Produce a defensible executive recommendation supported by facts, risks, and mitigations

No LMS Roadmap & Transition Strategy

Design a phased roadmap from current LMS dependency to a No LMS future state

Clearly articulate:

Transition phases and sequencing

Decision dependencies and gating criteria

Risk mitigation checkpoints

Change and adoption considerations

Balance bold transformation with enterprise feasibility

Executive Deck Creation & Storytelling

Develop a concise, C suite ready executive deck that includes:

Problem statement and strategic context

Current state LMS constraints and gaps

No LMS future state principles

Transition roadmap and milestones

Executive recommendation and decision ask

Ensure the deck enables leadership to answer:

“Why move to No LMS now?”

“What risks do we accept or mitigate?”

“What value is unlocked at each phase?”
