Job Description

Please Note: Previous experience soldering at 0402 size or smaller is required.

· Parse and process incoming tickets, focusing on electrical/solder and special project requests. Instruments development hardware with wires and probes for use with our oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment. Performs solder reworks down to 0201 SMDs, including multi-pin/dot chip reflow. Trains partners on how to solder and use test equipment. Resolves issues with test equipment, including break/fix and calibration. Provides specifications for internal Ultimate Toolkit and consumables. Actions special project requests. Sanitize, clean and organize labs (Covid-19 protocol).

While you will have specific duties, it's important to understand that the entire team is responsible for the final delivery, and this may occasionally involve taking on additional tasks outside your primary responsibilities. The ability to adapt and contribute wherever needed is key to succeeding in this environment.

Job Requirements

· Experience: 7+ years of relevant electrical/soldering experience including extensive 0402 or smaller soldering and rework.

· DevTest Environment: Can work in a DevTest Environment with POC, EVT, DVT and PVT Equipment.

· Solder: Can remove and install 0402 or smaller components on PCB without damage.

· Solder Advance: Can re-flow multi-pin SMD using hot-air solder gun.

· Oscilloscope: Can instrument PCB with Solder Down Single Ended or differential Probes, setup trigger on oscilloscope to capture signal, measure signal using oscilloscope tools, analyze against existing specification.

· Oscilloscope Advanced: Can perform Data Eye Diagram Capture & Analysis (PCIe).

· Circuitry Failure Analysis: Given a malfunctioning PCB, can identify the malfunctioning Circuit or Component.

· Power: Understands difference between AC & DC Power, can measure both using a Digital Multi-Meter.

· Power Advanced: Understands difference between Single & Three Phase Power, can measure both using Power Meter.

· x86 Systems: Can setup, teardown and troubleshoot x86 Server Class Systems & Network Switches.

· x86 Systems Advance: Understands difference between UEFI & Legacy BIOS and how to PXe Install an OS.

· Networking: Understands the difference between DHCP & DNS and can explain how each is used.

· Heavy Lifting: Can move and lift up to 35lbs, multiple times per day.

· Documentation: Candidate has previous experience writing "How-To" documentation or procedures.

· Typing: Must be able to perform touch-typing (not two-finger or hunt-and-peck) at proficient speed, 50 WPM or higher preferred

· Bonus - Validation: Can execute and modify/update Mechanical, Electrical & Thermal Test Execution Cases.
